Fourth solo exhibition: SEEDS, at Run Amok Gallery, Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia. 9-12-2016 to 1-1-2017 Small sculptures made from wood collected from different countries, bronze and alluminium. Exhibited at the Beautiful Gallery: Run Amok, located in the Hin Bus Depot, a vibrant art space in Penang. SEEDS – solo exhibition by Anees Maani, featured a series of small sculptures made with wood, bronze and alluminium. They are simple organic forms with the potential of growth. The artist has been fascinated with the type of seeds he found in Malaysia and these seeds serve as a great research tool for him to explore the evolution of form in this tropical and fertile environment.
